Philanthropy

From the time of our founding, Alpha Delta Pi has believed in the importance of giving back to our community. A dedication to philanthropy guides our members to spend time in the service of those who need it most. Our international organization’s commitment to Ronald McDonald House Charities has led to the donation of over $15,000,000 over the course of our partnership. More than 350 Ronald McDonald Houses in 64 countries help keep families with seriously ill or injured children together when they need it most by offering them a comfortable, temporary residence in proximity to a medical facility.

Alpha Delta Pi’s international philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), which provides housing for families with ill children receiving treatment away from home. Zeta Chapter chapter supports the Ronald McDonald House in Temple, Texas. We also give back to the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation, which was founded in 1983 to support Alpha Delta Pi and its members. This organization allocates scholarships and grants to active members, along with providing financial assistance to sisters in financial distress.

Our philanthropy events typically consist of Karaoke Lip Sync Battle in the fall, Pie a Pi in the fall, and PiHop in the spring, where all proceeds go to RMHC. On top of this we also compete annually in SING! competitions, donating any and all proceeds to RMHC or the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation. We also go to the Ronald McDonald House in Temple and help around the house cleaning, bringing food, and whatever else they may need. Highlights of this past year include multiple profit shares, some even in collaboration with the fraternities on campus, which were all profit events for RMHC. We are incredibly proud of our sorority’s commitment and passion for service to others.
